In February '22, after almost a year of testing and optimization, the Khrome Lab opened. Set out to offer high quality at fair prices on site, Khrome's customer base literally exploded as the last remaining specialist laboratory in downtown Hamburg.

The Khrome Lab is constantly working on offering new services such as prints and HiRes scans. More to follow...

Khromeland shines on the Photopia

In October 2022, Khrome was commissioned by HamburgMesse to create a space for analog photography at the otherwise very digital fair. The completely own vintage world, the Khromeland, with attractions, artists and interesting products from the analog world inspires the visitors and exhibitors.

Khrome and Open Eyes join forces.

After working together before, we are now bringing together what belongs together. Khrome, as the new and young analog store in the city center, joins forces with Open Eyes, the traditional lab that has been operating for 20 years.
Khrome gains a great team, a real RA-4 printer, dip & dunk development machines and a complete fine art department.
This means that we can now represent the complete cycle of photography at two locations.

In January 2024, we close Capitis Galerie with a heavy heart after two years. From then on, Oliver Heinemann runs Khrome on his own after a great time with Anatol Kotte.
The store is expanded into the gallery space and now offers plenty of space to browse through all the analog treasures in peace

New name - usual quality

Open Eyes becomes Khrome Fine Art

After 9 months of intensive learning and collaboration, we are bringing our two stores closer together externally. The Open Eyes brand is being replaced by Khrome Fine Art and stands for the usual high quality on site, as well as the new energy of the resident team.
