THE FINE ART STUDIO IN THE CENTER OF HAMBURG
Personal consultation for the perfect picture
Prints in museum quality
We have always printed with Epson printers, from the “small” 4900 for digital proofs to the latest flagship, the SC-P20000 with a paper width of up to 162 cm. The durability of modern pigment prints is up to 100 years, depending on the type of paper. Thanks to the profiles we have created and optimized ourselves, we achieve the greatest possible colour fidelity and reproduction of black and white tones with a maximum colour space. We are also a Hahnemühle Certified Studio, this means that you benefit not only from our many years of experience but also from the manufacturer's know-how.
Fine art papers in a wide variety of surfaces and grammages, from light cotton papers to heavy baryta surfaces, from watercolor to canvas. We process papers from Hahnemühle, Epson and Ilford, almost all up to 111 cm paper width, some even up to 152 cm width.
If you are unsure which paper is the right one for your motif, please ask us, we have print samples for every paper on site. We are also happy to print a test print on the selected surface.
Frameless hanging and stable presentation
Precise lamination
During lamination, the printed motif is drawn directly onto a panel material and, depending on the application, provided with a suitable mounting. A protective film can also be applied to provide additional protection against UV light and, to a certain extent, mechanical influences.
Various materials are available for lamination, e.g.
- Lightweight Kroma cardboard for stabilization and subsequent framing
- Kapafix in 5 or 10mm for short-term use, e.g. at trade fairs or presentations
- DiBond, a stable aluminum composite panel, for permanent use in galleries, exhibitions or living spaces.

FAQ
All fine art works are produced on site in Hamburg-Eppendorf.
How do I send you my files?
We recommend transferring your files via file sharing services such as WeTransfer, Dropbox or similar platforms. This ensures that data quality is maintained without loss, as email programs often automatically reduce the file size.
What resolution and file size should my file have?
-Format: TIF or JPG
-Resolution: 200 - 300 dpi, adapted to the desired final format
This enables us to guarantee the best printing results.
Are you part of Khrome now?
Yes, we are now part of Khrome and offer the same high-quality services and products as before.
Do you offer collective invoices?
Unfortunately, our current system does not allow collective invoices. Each order is invoiced separately.
Why do I have to pay before collection?
As many prints have not been collected in the past, we ask for payment in advance. This allows us to process your order more efficiently.
How long will it take for my frame to arrive?
After ordering and payment, it takes about 7-10 days for the frame to arrive in our store. We always order on Tuesdays and inform you as soon as the frame is ready for collection.
What is the difference between a simple print and a fine art print?
--Simple print: Printed with the Fuji Frontier - a chemical process in which the paper is exposed by laser.
-Fine Art Print: Printed with 12 different pigment-based inks for outstanding color quality and longevity.
Are fine art prints sensitive?
Yes, especially prints on matt, open papers are sensitive.
We recommend:
-wear gloves to avoid fingerprints
-protect prints with frames
What distinguishes the papers in price classes 1 and 2?
-Price class 1: Papers with a lower grammage and standard composition
-Price class 2: High-quality Hahnemühle papers made from natural materials that are particularly suitable for fine art prints.
Why should I order a test print?
A test print gives you the opportunity to check the colors and sharpness of your file in advance. This allows you to make any necessary adjustments before the final print is created.
Is my data safe with you?
Yes, we store your data securely and delete it securely after 6 months.
