Edition 3.0 will take place in cooperation with Safelight Berlin. Running parallel to the Photo Jam in Hamburg, it will be held at Safelight in Berlin with the same rules, schedule, theme, and prize money.

• Distribution of the 35mm film upon presentation of the ticket with ticket number - Starting at 12:00 PM
• Film distribution and ticket sales close at 6:30 PM

Mon, May 4, 2026 – 2:00 PM

• Deadline for submitting films via the mailbox in front of the store

Fri, May 8, 2026 – 6:00 PM

• Deadline for sending scans to participants

• Deadline for submitting the image selection (1 image per participant) via email

• Opening of the final exhibition and announcement of the shortlist and Top 3

Terms of Participation & Rules

🧍 Eligible Participants

• Participants must be 18 years or older
• Max. 200 participants (per city)
• First come, first served for online ticket sales

📝 Registration

• Ticket sales on KHROME.de/PhotoJam (Hamburg) and Safelightberlin.com (Berlin) starting May 23, 12:00 PM
• €10 per ticket (includes film and development)
• 70% of the proceeds go directly back into the prize pool
• A valid email address is required for each participant
• Everyone will be registered as a customer with Khrome (if not already registered)

🎞 Film stock

• A numbered 35mm film roll will be provided free of charge upon registration
• Thanks to KODAK for sponsoring the film!
• Only this film may be used
• Only standard formats allowed (Half Frame, Full Frame, XPan)

🧾 Film submission

• Submit by Mon, May 4, 2:00 PM in the mailbox at Khrome
• Only films submitted by the deadline will be accepted
• Late films will not be developed free of charge or considered

💻 Development & Digitization

• Standard development (no push/pull), scan as JPG in standard M
• Light color/exposure correction by the scanner (no retouching or correction of technical errors)
• Submission via WeTransfer by May 8 at the latest, 6:00 PM
• No liability for incorrect email addresses or spam filters

🖼 Submission

• One unedited image per participant by Sun, May 10, 11:59 PM to: photojam@khrome.de (Hamburg); you can find the email address for Berlin directly on Safelight
• Email must include:

1. Participant’s name
2. Participant’s number (on the film)
3. Name of the image folder sent
4. Name of the selected image file
5. The selected image attached as a file for verification

❗ Important:

• Only one image file may be submitted
• Multiple submissions will result in disqualification
• Subsequent editing of the image is not permitted

🏆 Selection Process

• A jury will create a shortlist (10 images)
• Selection of 1st–3rd place by the jury
• No guidelines from Khrome, no appeals allowed
• Legal recourse is excluded

🎉 Award ceremony

• Fri, May 15, 7:30 PM at the grand final event @ Khrome and Safelight
• Exhibition of the shortlist
• Announcement and award ceremony for 1st–3rd place winners
• Additionally, exhibition of the top 3 from the other city
• 1st 1st prize: 40% of ticket sales proceeds, 2nd prize: 20%, 3rd prize: 10% as store credit, plus great additional prizes from brands like Valoi, Moment, Budachrome, and more…

• Khrome may use submitted images in connection with the event as well as on the website, Instagram, and Facebook
