The Photo Jam is a special analog photo contest.
You get a 35mm film roll, a secret theme and only 48 hours to shoot and submit the ultimate photo. KHROME Lab develops and scans the images. No editing, no filters, no touch-ups - only your creativity counts.
Our first edition was a great success:
- 100 free spots were claimed within minutes
- 150+ people wanted to join
- The feedback was incredible - you were excited to shoot creatively on film under pressure
That's why we're launching our second, even bigger edition Photo Jam on Sa 30. 08.25 at 12:00 noon with the film and theme award ceremony. Everything ends with a public exhibition of the jury shortlist of 10 images and the award ceremony for the top 3 on Fri 19.09.25 at 20:00.
More about ticket sales in advance and the prize pool:
- We are expanding the number of participants* to 200
- Ticket sales as of 24.08.25 12:00 German time
- €10 per person
- The prize pool is financed by the tickets:
€1 per ticket is kept by the ticket service provider.
Of the rest of the revenue, 40% goes to first place, 20% to second place and 10% to third place. We use the remaining 30% to cover some of the high expenses for development and organization.
In addition, there will be further prizes from event partners.
- The more participants, the bigger the prize! If we sell all 200 tickets, first place will get over €700 in store credit.
- The requirements remain analogous, timed and unedited. Only twice as much action!
- The North German community is ready!
Photo Jam is not a typical contest - it's an analogous adventure.

Terms and conditions & Rules
🧍 Eligible participants
- Participants must be 18 years of age or older
- Max. 200 participants
- First come, first served for online ticket sales
📝 Registration
- Ticket sales at KHROME.de/PhotoJam
- €10 per ticket (including film and development)
- 70% of the profits go directly back into the prize pool
- One valid email address is required per participant
- Everyone will be created as a customer at Khrome (if not already registered)
🎞 Film material
- A numbered 35mm film will be issued free of charge upon registration
- Only this film may be used
- Only standard formats are permitted (half frame, full frame, XPan)
🧾 Film submission
- Submissions must be received by Monday, September 1, 2:00 p.m. at Khrome in the mailbox
- Only films submitted by the deadline will be accepted
- Late films will not be developed free of charge or considered
💻 Development & digitization
- Standard development (no push/pull), scan as JPG as standard M
- Slight color/exposure correction by the scanner (no retouching or technical error correction)
- Shipping via WeTransfer by September 5, 6:00 p.m.
- No liability for incorrect email addresses or spam filters
🖼 Submission
- One image per participant by Sunday, September 7, 11:59 p.m. to: photojam@khrome.de
- Email must include:
- Participant name
- Participant number (on the film)
- Name of the image folder sent
- Name of the selected image file
- The selected image attached as a file for verification
❗ Important:
- Only one image file may be submitted
- Multiple submissions will result in disqualification
- Subsequent editing of the image is not possible
🏆 Selection process
- A jury will create a shortlist (10 images)
- Selection of 1st–3rd place by the jury
- No specifications by Khrome, no appeals possible
- Legal recourse is excluded
🎉 Award ceremony
- Fri, September 19, 7:30 p.m. at the grand final event @ Khrome
- Exhibition of the shortlist
- Announcement and award ceremony for 1st–3rd place with prizes
- 1st Prize 40% of ticket revenue, 2nd prize 20%, 3rd prize 10% as shop credit and other great prizes from brands such as Valoi, Moment, Budachrome and more...
📢 Rights of use
- Participants guarantee that submitted images are free of third-party rights
- Khrome may use submitted images in the context of the event as well as on the website, Instagram & Facebook
