HARMAN Phoenix 200 is a brand new ISO 200 and C41 color negative film and the first to be made entirely from emulsion to cassette at our Mobberley facility - a significant yet incredibly exciting milestone.

High contrast and strong, visible grain are just a few of its unique qualities that help produce characterful, distinctively analog results unlike any other color film.

With a DX-coded can and a box sensitivity of ISO 200, Phoenix can be rated between ISO 100 and 400, but performs best in good, even light. There is also the possibility of halation on brighter days or when shooting into the light.

It delivers strong, vibrant colors, although they react differently to different scanners and settings. The correct exposure will certainly help to achieve the best results. We therefore recommend metering the midtones to retain shadow or highlight detail (overexposure or underexposure is not Phoenix's friend)!

Part of the fun of filming is expecting the unexpected, and this film offers just that, from its uniquely colored negatives to chance encounters with occasional coating anomalies. Hold back your expectations and enjoy the experience!

Please note: HARMAN Phoenix is an experimental limited edition film and the first step in our color journey. Creating color film is very different than creating black and white film, and while we have made good progress, we recognize that we still have much to learn.
