Description
Description of the manufacturer:
ADOX HR-50 stands for High Resolution.
It is a high-resolution film for technical applications, which ADOX modifies before processing with the unique ADOX "SPEED BOOST" technology in order to make it usable for normal photography.
This increases the sensitivity to ISO 50/18° and reduces the contrast so that the film can be processed in normal developers.
A developer specifically designed for the HR-50 is also available: ADOX HR-DEV.
The HR-50 is great for landscape photography, architecture/cityscapes or travel photography.
In addition to its excellent resolution and sharpness, the ADOX HR-50 is also characterized by an extremely fine grain. Of all the black and white negative films currently on the market, only the ADOX CMS 20 II has a significantly finer grain.
For portraits we recommend the special ADOX HR-DEV developer or the ADOX FX-39 II.
The ADOX HR-50 responds comparatively well to filtering and is therefore an optimal match for the new ADOX SNAP-ON gelatine filters.
ADOX has developed a lightweight infrared filter (ADOX SNAP-ON System) to make it easier to get started with infrared photography, which only lowers the sensitivity by one stop. So you can take handheld photos with EI 25/15° (infrared photos are only taken when the sun is shining) and achieve wonderfully tonal and fine-grained photos.
The ADOX SNAP-ON infrared filters are available as accessories from EUR 7.99.
For infrared photos with maximum "wood effect" (leaf green is reproduced as white), we recommend an infrared filter that blocks visible light below 715 nanometers.
The pictures get a dramatic look.
The film is equally suitable for classic infrared shots as for classic landscape photography.
