Launched as an IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign in the summer of 2021, SantaColor 100 was a resounding success with over $200,000 in funding to launch the first batch. Since then we have produced over 20,000 rolls of film and plan to produce another 20,000 rolls of film in 2023.

How is the movie?
The film is a fine grain color negative film compatible with the C41 process and produces results with rich reds and rich greens. It is more saturated than the Kodak Portra series, but less saturated and with a longer contrast curve than the Kodak Ektar 100.

The film is also compatible with the RA4 printing process when an additional color filter is used, which approximates the orange base of other color negative films. The film is flexible and can be taken to 800 ISO with only a slight loss in color accuracy and a small increase in grain. The film was shot at 400 ISO and shifted +2 stops in development. It shows accurate colors and an almost grainy look typically associated with films such as Kodak Ektar 100 or Kodak Portra 160.
