Description
Manufacturer's description:
Cinestill films are based on professional cinema films. This means that the ex-factory shelf life of the untreated raw material is around 15-20 months. After that, Cinestill in the US has to remove the Remjet layer and the pre-treated material is then spooled in the EU. This process takes time and freight times have also increased due to COVID. Raw materials are often missing in the supply chain, which means that the spooling and packaging process can come to a standstill. Even though we were sometimes able to sell material with a shelf life of 18 months or more before COVID, it can currently happen that these shelf lives are shorter. According to Cinestill, a film is fresh when it is offered by the respective retailer with a shelf life of 6 months (or more).

Finally a highly sensitive artificial light film!
The CineStill 800 Tungsten has a light sensitivity of ISO 800/30° with artificial light of 3200K. In this way, it enables shots to be taken indoors under "natural" artificial light for atmospheric, warmly coordinated colors without a flash.
The film is unique and fills a gap in the film market.
Due to the high sensitivity and adjustment to artificial light, it is perfect for "available light" photography, i.e. nocturnal "street photography": recordings in clubs, bars or at concerts.
Not least due to its wide exposure range, it will certainly improve the image results of a Holga or Lomo camera after sunset.
CineStill specifies a sensitivity range from EI 200/24° to 3200/36°.
The CineStill 800T is based on the Kodak Vision3 500T motion picture film. However, CineStill has developed and applied for a patent on a process that can be used to remove the Remjet coating on the back of Kodak cine films.
This means that the film can be developed in any large laboratory, specialist laboratory, minilab or at home using the C-41 process.
The film is fun: Real, natural colors in artificial light and harmonious skin tones!
If you want to use the film in daylight and still want natural colors, you need the ADOX *SNAP-ON* gelatin filter 85B Tungsten Conversion color correction filter or the Heliopan KR 15(85B).
